Despite only having this blog for a couple of months. I am starting to realise the effects of having a personal blog. There are a lot of work initially for setting up a blog such as choosing a design, organising blogroll, and what categories you may need for your blog. However for me there is two main problems, first is what post should I write for my blog and maintaining a constant blog update.
Having decided that this will be a blog devoting to all things otaku, I find it hard to write post entries relating to this topic. The reason is that whatever I write there is bound to be another blog somewhere who would made a post ages ago. Since there are millions of blogs around the world, so it is hard to think up some original post. Which can lead to having a writer block of what to write. I have tried to look around what other blogs have done in the past when they first started out. They were more or less the same, such as what figures they brought, anime they watch, or make a post on what other blogs have reported. This has lead to me not motivated in my blog, which can lead to the second problem for me.
I really admire the people who maintain a constant blog update, because it really takes alot of time and effect. Which can build up readership and there is less chance of having abandoned blogs. What I find is that the only way you can maintain a constant update is by reporting news that has already been reported somewhere else, such as anime news network. Also if people have made comments on your blog it is always a good thing to reply to those comments, to gain a loyal readers.
If all else fails you can always start flaming other blogs, which I do not intend to because I not good at it.
